Will Birds Oracle Deck be printed again?

Birds Oracle Deck
  • A card reading from my Birds Oracle Deck 2. Don’t forget your intended course.
  • A card reading for you from my Birds Oracle Deck 2: Ferruginous Pygmy-owl. Don’t get distracted by shiny new things.
  • The final card of Birds Oracle Deck 2, number 88 is this one: YOUR BIRD. It was hard for me to decide on what bird should complete the deck. I wanted it to feel like something important.

Meaning: celebration

Guts: Card 88 is a special one because it is Your Bird. That bird that you favour. The one you love the most. The one that brings you joy. The one that you use as a good omen. The number 88 is a powerful one. Double infinity. Double happiness. A number of powerful vibrations. One for a prosperous future. Today, celebrate you and all that you are. All that you have accomplished. All of where you are heading. You have brought yourself here. Every choice you made, every corner you took, brought you to this moment. It’s time for celebration.

An Ask: What can you celebrate about you and your life today?
  • Every spring, I go looking for this bird: WOODCOCK and the second last card of Birds Oracle Deck 2.

Meaning: the only constant in life is change

Guts: My paternal grandmother, my Nanny, lived in her home for 67 years. Through all of life's ebbs and flows, Nanny's house was always a constant for my family. As she aged, the inevitable happened and she had to move as she could no longer live independently. Not long after we went to that home for one last time to prepare it for the new owners. As the sun began slipping away, I stepped outside to photograph the house's exterior against the dusk sky. Immediately a bird flew from from the lawn and up into that brilliant blue sky. So distinguishable by its size and shape, I knew it was an American Woodcock. A bird here to let us know that the only constant in life is change. Life is always flowing. Sometimes it feels real good and we are swimming along happily and then other times those currents are real rough and life downright sucks. Where you are now, how life looks right now isn't how it is always going to be. We need to learn to love and accept where we are today and we need to know that tomorrow things may look a lot different. And you know what? That is okay. Embrace today. Embrace all of the days. Change is inevitable and the more we learn to work with that, the more we will be able to enjoy and handle all of the ups and downs.

An Ask: What about today can you embrace? What change are you anticipating in your life that you can start preparing for without missing out on today?
  • Meeting these birds on the palace walls in Marrakech was such a beautiful surprise. Card 42 in Birds Oracle Deck 2 is WHITE STORK.

Meaning: a look at spirituality and belief

Guts: If you visit the Medina in Marrakech, you will meet the White Stork. These large birds guard the walls of the palace. Tens of them line each wall and they build large nests up there. Some Moroccan people believe that these White Storks are reincarnated Imam. With this belief, they are sacred and protected birds. No one is allowed to harm or disturb a White Stork. It is even against the law there. Spirituality can come in many forms and it can look many different ways. You can go to Mosque five times a day like the Muslims in Marrakech do. You can go to Church or Synagogue on weekends. You give thanks in your own way or ritual to whatever it is that you believe in. You can believe in the reincarnation of birds. The important thing is to believe in something. It doesn’t have to be an organized religion. It doesn’t have to be something conventional. It just has to be something that works for you. Something that gives you strength in hard times. Something that reminds you to take a deep breath, to know that everything will work out in the end. Something to believe in. White Stork is here for this. Here to remind you to have faith. To believe. To look at your spiritual self and to allow more of that into your life.

An Ask: What are your beliefs? Are you spiritual? What about this can guide you today?
